Privacy Policy

Effective May 2, 2026 · Sync Labs Inc.

This policy explains how Sync Labs Inc. ("Audience Sync", "we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal data when you visit audiencesync.marketing or use the Audience Sync service.

Audience Sync lets businesses turn lists they upload as files into matched audiences in their own LinkedIn advertising accounts, and update those audiences when they upload a new version.

1. Who we are

Sync Labs Inc.
4281 Hamilton Avenue, San Jose, CA 95130
Privacy contact: [email protected]

2. Our two roles

  • Controller. We decide how personal data is used for our website, for the accounts people create with us, and for running our business.
  • Processor. When a customer uploads a list, the people on that list are the customer's contacts. We process that data only on the customer's instructions, under our agreement with them, including our Data Processing Addendum (available on request). The customer is the controller of that data and is responsible for having a lawful basis to use it for advertising.

If you are on a list one of our customers has uploaded, please contact that customer first. We will help them respond to your request.

3. What we collect

Account information. Name, work email address, company name, job title and password or single sign-on details for people who use Audience Sync.

Connected account information. The only account you connect is your LinkedIn advertising account. When you connect it, we receive access tokens and the information needed to manage your audiences: ad account names and IDs, audience names, audience status, match rates and estimated audience sizes. We don't read your ad campaigns' content or any other account data.

List data you upload. Depending on the files you upload and the columns you map:

  • Company lists: company name, website domain, company page URL, country or region and stock symbol.
  • Contact lists: email address, first name, last name, company name, job title and country or region.

We hash email addresses with SHA-256 as soon as we receive them and don't store them in plain text. We delete uploaded files after processing, keep only the fields needed for matching, and send only those fields.

Usage and device information. Pages visited, features used, IP address, browser type and timestamps, collected through server logs and essential cookies.

Communications. Messages you send to our support or sales teams.

We only receive list data from files a customer uploads and rows a customer adds by hand, and we don't buy contact data.

4. How we use personal data

  • To provide the service: process the files you upload, map and clean their columns, create and update matched audiences in your advertising account, and show audience status and match rates.
  • To keep accounts secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To communicate with you about your account and changes to the service.
  • To improve the service, using aggregated usage information.
  • To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We use each customer's list data only to build that customer's own audiences. We don't combine one customer's lists with another's, use list data to build our own audiences or profiles, or sell personal data.

  • Contract: to provide the service to our customers and their users.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain and improve the service and communicate with business users.
  • Legal obligation: to keep records and respond to lawful requests.
  • Consent: where we ask for it, for example for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.

For list data we process as a processor, the customer determines the legal basis.

6. Who we share it with

  • LinkedIn. When you create or update an audience, we send the hashed emails and matching fields to LinkedIn through its Marketing APIs to create or update matched audiences in your own LinkedIn advertising account. LinkedIn's use of that data is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Service providers. Cloud hosting, data storage and other infrastructure providers that process data for us under contract and only on our instructions.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
  • Business transfers. In a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

7. How long we keep it

  • Uploaded files: deleted after processing.
  • List data: while the audience exists in Audience Sync. When you remove an audience or close your account, we stop all updates and delete the stored list data within 30 days. Audiences already created in your advertising account stay there until you delete them.
  • Account information: for as long as your account is open, then up to 90 days after closure, unless the law requires longer.
  • Logs: up to 90 days.

8. Security

We encrypt data in transit and at rest, store access tokens encrypted, limit staff access to what their role needs, and log access to customer data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. International transfers

We are based in the United States and use providers in the United States. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California and other US states may also have the right to know what we collect and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data. We don't sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To use these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Cookies

Our website uses only cookies needed to run it and keep you signed in. If we add analytics or marketing cookies, we will ask first and update this policy.

12. Children

Audience Sync is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect their data.

13. Changes

We will post changes here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect.
